The detachable handpiece weighs only 0.15lb. Put it in you pocket and take it with you to the next operatory. The camera processor box is lightweight, thus mountable beneath bracket or dental unit tray or chair. The handpiece holder features a proximity switch for automatic on/off capability. Easy-to-use ergonomic fingertip control of focus and capture buttons. It's easy for any staff member to capture high-quality images with the Claris i310 camera.
Claris i310 Lens & Optics
Often, with many cameras, a glare can be created when the plastic sleeve is placed over the camera (lens). It is a reflection of the light as seen by the camera's lens. Sota Optics' engineers anticipated this problem early on and designed a method of virtually eliminating this issue.
The pictures below illustrates the unique design of the Claris i310 camera optics. Notice (photo 1) the slightly raised area in the center. This is the camera lens. The specific purpose of this raised feature is to eliminate glare when using a plastic disposable sleeve. Photo 2 depicts the same area from a slightly different angle. Photo 3 shows 12 LEDs utilized on every Claris i310 camera, thus providing superior illumination on the image object.
